Welcome
September 27th, 2007 | by Jeniffer |Hello, and welcome to my blog! It’s good to see you here! This is my first entry.
Before you look around, I thought I would share a few things with you.
First, my name is Jeniffer, and I’ll be your host. I am going to tell you a bit of what this blog is about.
In June of this year, I began making changes to improve my life. I added new habits, and discarded old ones which were not working for me. Not in only one area–I had an eye to improving several areas at once. I began with walking for thirty minutes a day, most days of the week (allowing myself an occasional day off due to weather conditions or an overstuffed schedule), then added organizing one small area of my home office per day. Then I switched my mid-morning goody snack habit for a mid morning piece of fruit. Because changing a habit for life can be daunting, I decided to try increments of thirty days each. If the new habit did not work for me, I would give it up. If it did, I would keep it.
The results were amazing! The quality of my life was noticeably improved. I felt healthier, had more energy, and was making better use of my time.
Then I got to thinking–what if I were to keep the momentum going? What if, for a thirty day period at a time, continuing for one year, I found and tried out ways to improve my health, my fitness, my productivity? What would happen then?
The more I thought about it, the more I liked the idea. The more I liked the idea, the more I wanted to share it. Hence, the thirty day year blog was born.
It is my hope that this blog inspires, entertains, enlightens and guides someone somewhere who is looking to improve their lives as I have done.
There you have it. The purpose, the reason for the birth of this blog.
In it, you will find information on healthy eating, goal setting and achieving, living true to who you are, finding what matters to you in your life, parenting, positive thinking–almost any topic related to improving your self that you can think of or suggest.
Welcome to my blog.
I hope you stick around.
