Fantastic 5 For Friday–Issue 3
December 14th, 2007 | by Jeniffer |Christmas is approaching at an alarmingly fast pace!
Do you have everything ready which needs to be ready for the big day?
Today’s Fantastic Five For Friday presents you with five important things you should do now, before Christmas Day is here.
1)Make a list of friends and family members you would like to telephone this season.
Do not wait until Christmas Day to do this, as everyone else will do so.
Be smart–call them ahead of time.
Check off the people you call on your list as you do so. (I like to phone one person per day, if I have the time).
This way, when Christmas Day is coming to an end, you’re not in a panic searching for Aunt Bedelia’s phone number.
2) It’s nice if you are able to give batteries with those gifts which require them, as do many toys for children.
Stock up now, making certain to keep enough on hand for anyone in your house may also be needing them.
3) If you have not already done so, put up the tree. (We just put ours up this past weekend).
Get the whole family involved.
Play carols in the background, sing along with them if the mood hits.
It’s a great family activity, and gets the kids’ eyes glowing like nothing else can (except for all those gifts underneath it, of course!)
4) Make sure you keep the spare battery for any digital cameras charged and ready.
Lots of guests will be dropping by, you’ll be visiting–who knows when a photo op may occur?
Carry that camera with you everywhere you go (except for the mall, of course!)
5) Get the kids’ photo with Santa done now.
I just had my son’s first Santa photo taken.
I did it on a weekday, and there was no lineup for the pictures, which is necessary with a toddler.
Try a weekday sitting if you can, during the day.
Special Bonus Tip #6) SMILE!
It’s Christmas season, and even if your feet are sore, you’re exhausted and feeling like you will never get through this season, you will.
And you’ll enjoy it, too, seeing family and friends like you won’t again until next year.
But you’ll start all this stuff earlier then.
Thethirtydayyear will remind you!
