The Thirty Day Makeover–Finale
January 28th, 2008 | by Jeniffer |How did you do over the last four weeks?
What progress have you made in areas of your life where you wanted to see some change?
Do you have a better grasp of why you spend what you do, and how to curb this compulsion?
Do you find yourself stopping before you eat an entire package of cookies, to ask yourself Why you want to eat them?
Are you happier?
Fitter?
Perhaps lighter, firmer, feeling more sexy and secure?
Are you today living life closer to your ideal than you were thirty days ago?
You should be, and you should give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back for the great work you have begun.
Do share, in the comments or in the forum, any changes and/or improvements you have made in your life, and where it is you would like that momentum to carry you in the future.
I hope these four weeks have been great for you, but before you go I would like you to do one more thing.
Go grab that Gratitude Journal you have been keeping, and begin to think about your life, and about your body.
Write all the great things about your life that you can think of.
Air to breathe, work that is fulfilling, the ability to pay bills, electricity to run your lights–anything and everything you can think of.
Fill pages, if you can.
You life is a wonder, a gift and a miracle.
Use these pages to celebrate that life, to embrace the awesomeness of it.
When you are finished, take the time to do the same for your body.
It, too, is a miracle.
Begin writing what you are grateful for about your body, all the wonders of it, the marvels it performs on a daily basis that you never give any thought to.
Walking.
Running.
Dancing.
Breathing.
So many incredible things, this physical body of ours is capable of doing!
If you have followed along for this past four weeks, your body should be feeling healthier and more fit by now.
Healthy eating, daily vitamin and mineral supplements, plus regular workouts should be paying off.
What your body is doing now, it has always been capable of doing, but if you are like the majority of women, you will tend to think of the miracle that is your body in more negative terms.
Instead, take this time to consider its good points.
The very act of moving–getting you from point A to point B–is amazing. Every day, your body does this for you. Every day, you give it not one thought.
You can dance, and smile with your entire face, a marvellous expression of joy.
You can laugh.
Feel love, and explore the physical expression of that love.
Learn, with the awesome power of your brain.
Write. Print. Express yourself, with your self.
So many things, this wonderful body of yours allows you to do.
Think about that, the next time a negative tries to steal into your mind.
Think about the wonderful things you have listed about your life, and about the body that carries you through that life.
Keep both of these lists.
Highlight them if you like, and whenever doubts about your life or your body begin to creep in, re-read what you have written.
I hope that you will build on what you have begun these past weeks.
Keep going, for another thirty days.
Then another.
Then another…only you know where you want your life and your body to take you.
Only you can make that happen.
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to walk from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to.”-
