Unexpected Impact

In a life that has often been far too tumultuous, I have found myself making big changes unexpectedly from time to time. I had to deal with family suicides, a violently insane husband who is now ex-husband, a broken adoption, my own shattered health, life as a single parent, and much more.

Throughout all of that, the one thing that had the most positive impact on my life was the discovery of energy healing. While I have always had core survival strength and assorted skills and abilities, working with energy directly was what allowed me to clear obstacles and harness my potentials in an effective way.

I came upon Reiki apparently quite by accident. My husband, the wonderful one of the present, was having health problems. The medical establishment had nearly killed him with an incorrect diagnosis and wrong medication.

When he went hunting with a friend and hiked up to 9000 feet altitude in difficult terrain, his heart went severely out of rhythm. He thought he was not going to make it back down the mountain.

Reluctant to go to another doctor, he went to get a massage. The massage therapist recommended he see a doctor or nurse practitioner, but he still resisted the idea. I said he could have his choice, go get a Reiki treatment or we could find another doctor.

He went for the Reiki treatment and had such an astonishingly positive result I decided to take a class in the modality myself. To find something that helped after everything we had been through was exciting indeed.

The best way to describe how learning Reiki affected me would be to say it was like walking through an open doorway into another room, and then discovering the room was a train going ninety miles an hour in some other direction.

My family had a tradition of “healing hands” that was problematical. My mother, grandmother, and I could put our hands on someone and pull the pain out of them. Unfortunately, the pain simply came into our own bodies, so the process had limited utility, to say the least. It also was not at all fun to do.

Reiki changed all that for me. I could put my hands on someone in pain, feel the changes occurring, but end up feeling better myself as I helped them. This was completely life changing for me and for my husband.

My friend Gia also took Reiki and we began experimenting madly with it. Our Reiki master called us her “wild reikis” as a result. Eventually Gia and I co-founded a new modality called Crystalline Consciousness Technique™.

This led to even more dramatic changes for me. While I still use Reiki as it simply flows automatically, CCT works with intention in a manner that clears distortions and accelerates manifestation in amazing ways.

I use it daily in myriad ways. CCT smoothes out glitches in group interactions both personal and work related, brings personal healing, and most interesting of all, accelerates evolution of consciousness. I use it in my painting process as I create my art, in my gardening, and in virtually everything I do.

I find this description wholly inadequate, but since energy healing is such an experiential process, that unfortunately is to be expected. Perhaps the clearest analogy would be of going through life seeing dimly and then getting prescription glasses. The world suddenly looks totally different and you get to see and act from a heightened awareness you never suspected possible.

Great story. Glad you found such a great way to get your life back on track, especially when you’re coming from what sounds like a very difficult time!

It’s quite unfortunate that energy healing is so hard to explain and so hard to prove. It really is amazing what you can feel (I’m 1st degree myself), but the vagueness that surrounds it attracts the weirdest crowds. All the way from the overly spiritual to the deceiptful charlatans.

But as long as you keep it down to earth and have good intention, Reiki is really a good thing.
